The TFCU Checking Account is 100% checking – straightforward and simple. There is no minimum balance required, and no per item charges. To avoid the small $7 monthly fee, all you need to do is maintain an average minimum balance of $250 . Members with checking accounts may also apply for a FREE VISA QuickCheck debit card.

Freedom Checking - Our Free Checking Account
TFCU is offering a free checking account called Freedom Checking. The account is free (the $7 monthly service charge is waived) when you sign up for direct deposit. This checking account also offers all of the other great benefits available with all TFCU checking accounts.

Overdraft Privilege
Overdraft Privilege provides a new level of checking convenience. Overdraft Privilege will cover checks—up to your pre-set limit—in the event your TFCU checking account becomes overdrawn.

What’s so flexible about Overdraft Privilege? If your checking account is already linked to another form of overdraft protection (transfer from savings or a line of credit) Overdraft Privilege will only be activated if other overdraft protection resources are unavailable. When you utilize Overdraft Privilege the per-item overdraft fee (currently $22) will be assessed each time your account is overdrawn.

TFCU’s Overdraft Privilege plan is non-contractual and discretionary. It is not a loan and TFCU may refuse to provide the service on any personal checking account at any time and from time to time. The member does not have a contractual right to overdraft courtesy, nor is it guaranteed by the Overdraft Privilege plan
